Looking back at these photos, I’m convinced it was a dream. One of the highlights of my surprise trip to France was that we were able to attend the unforgettable wedding of our dear friends, Kim and Greg. The setting could not have been more perfect. The day began at the prestigious Royal Riviera hotel in a magical place called St. Jean Cap Ferrat, just outside of Nice, France, where Kim was being prepped in the most gorgeous suite with a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean. We headed to Monaco in the afternoon for the ceremony, which took place at a beautiful historic church in the city. After we took some photos around Monaco, we went back to the Royal Riviera for an amazing cocktail hour filled with delicious French hors d’oeuvres, including famous French truffle risotto and foie gras with fig jam (I always remember great moments of exquisite culinary experience!). The reception was nothing short of amazing, from the view of the shimmering sea to the never ending buffet of French culinary goodness to the sparkling traditional French wedding cake. Greg and Kim, thank you for having us be a part of your amazing wedding day! It was truly an unforgettable experience!
As a side note, I was not the official photographer of the wedding, but sort of played the role of guest/second photographer. The official wedding photos were taken by the extremely talented Janis Ratnieks, who was kind enough to deal with me picking his brain about photography all day long =) Enjoy the gorgeous couple and stunning scenery!
The view from the balcony of Kim’s suite. Told you it was amazing!
Kim, you were a stunning bride. Seriously.
This picture here is my favorite photo I’ve ever taken. Not because I’m really talented or anything, but because it was the perfect couple at the perfect moment in the perfect place.
Somehow, that hors d’oeurves plate mysteriously kept coming back to me and Adrian. We later found out that it was Greg’s sweet mother who kept telling the server to bring the foie gras to the “Americans” after we told her how much we loved it. I love that woman! =)
I never knew this, but I guess wedding cakes made out of cream puffs surrounded by fireworks are the tradition in France! I think this was the highlight of the reception for Kim! =)
The next day, Greg and Kim were troopers and decided to do a “day after” shoot. The beautiful town of Ville de Franche was the perfect backdrop with bright and pretty pastel colors!
